My Journey and Philosophy

From preventive medicine to longevity and aesthetic care

My journey into medicine began long before medical school. It began in childhood, watching the lasting effects of polio on my father’s life, a consequence of limited access to vaccination in his generation. That experience instilled in me a deep respect for preventive medicine and a belief that early intervention can transform not only health, but opportunity and longevity.

After moving from South Korea to the United States, I pursued my medical education and training here, learning to navigate different cultures, systems, and communities. I have cared for patients in busy hospital wards and in outpatient clinics, across both urban and suburban settings. Each environment broadened my perspective and strengthened my commitment to thoughtful, individualized care.

Over time, I came to see that true wellness extends beyond disease prevention. It includes how we age, how we feel in our bodies, and how confidently we move through each stage of life. This understanding naturally led me to integrate longevity medicine and aesthetic care into my practice. I view aesthetics not as surface level enhancement, but as an extension of whole person health, where science, prevention, and refinement come together.

Today, my philosophy remains grounded in the same principle that first drew me to medicine: to meet each patient with openness and curiosity, honoring where you have been while helping you move toward where you want to go.
